Classes are held from Monday to Friday. Each subject has a one- hour period. Every 8:00 in the morning, students and teachers participate in the flag ceremony. After the program, the students head towards their classrooms and wait for their first- period class which starts at 8:50 am. All first period classes end at exactly 9:50 am and the students are allowed to eat their snacks for 10 minutes. After the break time, students will return to their classroom and attend two more classes in the morning until 12 noon. Students will then fall line after their last period in the morning and walk towards the school canteen to eat their lunch which is provided by the school for free. When the clock strikes at 12:40 pm, students and teachers return to their classroom to finish the 4 remaining classes in the afternoon. All classes ends at 4:10 pm.

If the students' schedule is the same, the teachers' teaching hours vary from one another. The teacher’s schedule depends on the subject he or she teaches and the number of sections which is assigned to him or her. There are days when some teachers are free from teaching or does not need to teach for the day but there are also days when some of the teachers have to teach the whole day. All teachers are allowed to go home by 5:00 pm if they wish to but they are also allowed to extend their stay in school to finish some of their work.

The teachers and students are practicing meditation. I have also experienced meditating before when monks visited our high school. But it felt different when the Thai students were the ones doing it.

Exercise is needed for a healthier body. We also join with them in order to feel warm since it is always very cold in the morning.
