Procedures of the Practicum

The moment that we step foot at Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, our buddies and coordinator, Miss Arry, toured us around the campus. I was able to familiarize the whole university and I was also able to see for the first time the Demonstration School where I will be teaching for the whole month. We also had an orientation and opening program together with the vice president of CMRU and the other teaching staffs and faculty of the Demonstration School. My supervisor and coordinator was also present in the program.

During the first week in CMRU, we observed the classes in which I was assigned to teach. I was assigned to teach in Grades 4, 5 and 6 and the subjects that I taught was English. On the second week, I assisted my cooperating teacher with her works like editing letters that she make for the school. I also assisted her while she was teaching in the classroom.

The third week was the most tiring week for me since it is the week that I will be teaching. I have to prepare 4 lessons plans and have to teach 5 sections in a week. However, even though it was very tiring, I was still able to smile because I know that my students were learning and enjoying our classes.

The most painful week was our last week since I know that my days in Thailand are already numbered. During this week, I tried to get access with the files from the schools that I will be needing to write this blog. It was also during this week that I tried to take pictures of the school.

During weekends, our buddies would meet with us and accompany us to explore Chiang Mai. However, during weekdays, we also got to hang out whenever we have free time. There was also a day when the school arranged a tour for us and we went to a lot of tourist spots in Chiang Mai.
