A Dreamlike Adventure
Week 3
January 20, 2019- One Day Tour
Our tour in Chiang mai was scheduled today. Miss Arry and her student brought us to Maesa Elephant Camp, Doi Suthep Temple and Chiang Mai Museum. I had the most enjoyable moment of my life in the elephant camp. It was my dream to be able to feel the embrace of elephant's trunk. Glad that my dream came true. It may be tiring to climb the stairs to see the Doi Suthep Temple, but once you got to reach it, you will be enchanted by the golden color of the temple. You will also be captivated by the whole view of the city of Chiang Mai. For me, the view was really breathtaking. I was able to learn more about Chiang Mai in the museum. History always catches my interest and I am happy to know the story behind the first foreign place that I got to visit. We were supposedly going to the Sunday Walking Street also, however we just told Miss Arry that we'll just go home to rest and prepare for our demo- teaching tomorrow.
January 21, 2019- D- Day, Demo Day!
Today was the first day of my teaching. Honestly I was really nervous to the point that I did not eat my lunch. I only had 1 class today but I was really nervous. The nervousness that I was feeling suddenly melted when I saw my students listening attentively. We may not understand each other clearly because of language barrier but we still managed to communicate and interact. I was finally able to breathe freely when my first teaching was done. I am now preparing for another class tomorrow.

had my class today with the grade 5 students. I wasn't feeling nervous this time. I just did my best while teaching my class. My mentor, Kru Joy suggested that I should speak slowly so that the students will be able to understand me but then she also told me that my teaching was very good. I felt overwhelmed hearing those words of her. Upon reaching our dormitory, I just ate dinner and immediately went back to work.

I had two classes today. I can day that so far I had enjoyed being with grade 4 students the most because they were all actively participating and were listening attentively. i can also see that they are also enjoying the activities. I had another class with grade 5/2 pupils. They are also listening but they were not that participative and were a bit naughty. But I was still able to overcome their naughtiness in the end. Tomorrow will be another day and another day to teach.

I only had one class to teach today. I just repeated the lesson that I taught to the previous sections. It was quite stressful because some students were noisy but still everyone were participating and I am very happy for that.

I had 4 classes today so it was really tiring. I am proud of myself that I was able to conquer 4 battles. I have successfully delivered my lessons and everyone seems eager to learn. I am thankful for that. After teaching, we immediately went back to our dorm to rest and prepare again for our next battle, I mean classes tomorrow.
January 26, 2019-
Today, I woke up early so that I can accomplish many things. After doing all the chores needed to be done, I started making my lesson plan for my demo teaching on Monday. I decided to teach something which cannot be found in their textbooks. I followed Miss Arry's suggestion to teach something about the Philippines. Creating the lesson plan became easier since I have so much knowledge about my own country. I hope that my students will really enjoy our discussion in Monday. I am also quite nervous since I will be evaluated by Miss Sitah, my supervisor, on Monday together with Miss Joy. But I know I can do this. Fighting!
